Village Halls Week 2022
Monday 24 January – Sunday 30 January 2022
Join us for the fifth annual Village Halls Week celebration.
About
Village Halls Week is a national campaign, highlighting the contribution England’s 10,000+ village halls make to rural communities. It is an opportunity for hall management committees to celebrate their work and get inspiration from others.
Halls do much to improve life for local residents, often providing the only local space where people gather, combating loneliness, and delivering a wide range of activities and services.
We've found that since the COVID-19 pandemic, people are naturally a bit more cautious about going out and socializing. So this year, we're using the opportunity of Village Halls Week to remind people that village halls are still 'open for business' and shining a spotlight on the wide range of activities that take place in them.
We've supported village halls in Cambridgeshire to operate safely throughout the pandemic so we're encouraging people to go back out into their local communities and to join in the activities taking place at their local village hall.
