Staying Connected is Cambridgeshire ACRE's programme of webinars designed to bring together learning around rural best practice including community projects, case studies, latest research findings and new innovations. We invite guest speakers who are experts in rural policy and practice, share our own experience with you and allow time to discuss the needs of your own rural community.

Topic: A sharing and networking session for South Cambridgeshire communities delivered in collaboration with South Cambridgeshire District Council
About this event
Cambridgeshire ACRE is hosting a Staying Connected session aimed specifically at communities in South Cambridgeshire. The session is being delivered in collaboration with South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC).
What should I expect?
Our intention to deliver a session that sets out what we can collectively offer to help create vibrant communities, promote community action and support community growth in the district.
You will hear from SCDC’s Communities team and from the team at Cambridgeshire ACRE about the support they can offer you. There’ll also be additional case studies delivered by local councils, organisations and groups who will share their own experiences. Finally, there’ll be time to ask questions and discuss your own communities’ needs with our speakers acting as an expert panel to field these and give some answers.
When and where
This short session is taking place on Thursday 17 October from 5pm – 6.30pm. The session is being hosted on Zoom to make joining as easy as possible.
If you would like to book a place, please complete the registration form with your details. You will receive a booking confirmation and joining link by email. We’ll send a reminder out about an hour before the session starts to ensure you don’t forget to join us.
Who should attend?
This event will be of interest to:
- Town and Parish Council clerks and councillors;
- Village Hall / Community Building management committee members;
- Representatives from other voluntary and community groups
- Other third/community sector partners supporting communities in the district
